Medicinal Use of Sutent 50mg caps  

Read the Medication Guide provided by your pharmacist before you start taking sunitinib and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once daily. For some conditions, you may be directed to take this medication for a specific period of time followed by another period of time off of the drug. For other conditions, you may be directed to take sunitinib every day without a break. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully. Drink plenty of fluids during treatment with this medication, unless otherwise directed by your doctor.

How to use Sutent

Non-small cell lung cancer is one of the major kinds of lung cancer and it affects both smokers as well as non-smokers. Erlocip 150 Tablet helps treat non-small cell lung cancer and may be given alone or in combination with other medicines. You should avoid drinking alcohol while having this treatment and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Dosage Use Of Sutent 50mg caps

  • The usual dose in adults for treating renal cell carcinoma is 50 mg orally once daily for 4 weeks. Dosage should be ideally prescribed by the doctor.

  • The peak effect of this medicine can be observed within 6-12 hours of the administration of the dose.

  • Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost 12 hours due for the next scheduled dose, then the missed dose can be skipped.

  • Contact your doctor for further instructions if you miss more than one scheduled dose of this medicine.

  • In case of overdose or missed dose, doctor should be referred immediately.

  1. This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary. The risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine.

  2. This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine.

  3. This medicine should be used with caution since it may increase the risk of serious skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, etc. Report any unusual symptoms to the doctor on priority.

  4. This medicine should be used with caution in patients with increased blood pressure since it may worsen the condition. Appropriate dose adjustments and frequent clinical monitoring are advised.

  5. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.
